My Divi Routine Part 3

Supporting the GRWM journey, we lay the foundation for healthy hair with the nutrients that nourish our hair from the root.

Get Ready With Me (GRWM) and learn more about the effectiveness of Divi. Researching the GRWM trend has been interesting — and at AGEIST, we’d like to dive in a bit more (as we usually do). At first the concept seemed surface level, then the trend evolved from educational tips around skincare and fashion into storytelling while “getting ready” for the day or for an event. Take it one step further with us as we discuss what’s going on beneath our hair.

It’s about laying the foundation for healthy, happy hair. Our natural hair care instinct is to start with good shampoo and conditioner (See My Divi Routine Part 1) and then move to scalp care (See My Divi Routine Part 2). But we should also look at nourishing hair from the inside out, as that is where it all begins.

Getting nutrients to the root

Hair growth begins at the root (scientifically known as the dermal papilla) of your hair follicle, which provides your hair the blood supply and the nutrients it needs to grow. And, the function of our hair follicles is absolutely an area where we can make improvements through nutrition and supplements.

Water, protein, and iron are vital to the strength, structure and function of our hair — a pretty important trio to our overall health as well. There are several essential nutrients that play a crucial role in maintaining the health of hair follicles, all of which can be found in the innovative Divi Hair Vitamins formula:

  • Vitamin A to moisturize the scalp and hair
  • Vitamin E plays a vital role as an antioxidant
  • Vitamin D for hair follicle cycling
  • Vitamin B12 helps in making the red blood cells that carry oxygen to your hair follicles
  • Biotin to combat inflammation
  • Zinc to support the health of the follicles

As an added bonus, Divi includes ingredients that have been shown to reduce some biological markers of stress and promote relaxation while providing antioxidants (yes, please!). Divi’s Roots-9 complex is a formulation of Ashwagandha Root Extract and Gamma E.

My ongoing Divi journey

At 53, my hair is happy. Maybe even happier than the time in junior high school when my perm did not hold. And, it is certainly the healthiest it has ever been. As a reformed perfectionist and rule-follower, I did not initially follow the directions suggesting 4 slow-release capsules per day — I started with 2 per day. (Yes, I’m now embracing some rebel tendencies.) I would suggest following the dosage recommended on the label, as you should see results sooner than I did.

My hair began to feel so nourished that I thought about skipping the conditioner some days. I opted to go the route of scaling way back and using a very small amount on the ends of my hair. Voila! My haircare routine is now perfection. To continue the Divi journey, or to start your very own, visit diviofficial.com/AGEIST and use the code “AGEIST” for 20% off your first order.
