My Divi Hair Routine Part I

GRWM featuring the Shampoo and Conditioner that have elevated my routine with their natural scents and amazing performance.

Get ready with me (GRWM) and learn more about Divi. We partner with brands that are 110% serious about their work and the effectiveness of their products. It also doesn’t hurt if they like to have some fun along the way and enjoy life’s journey. Indulge me as I share the details on my new-ish Divi Routine.

First things first

From the very moment I opened Divi’s Shampoo bottle, I was in love with the peppermint smell. I am normally not one for scented products — at all. I think most of my products are specifically unscented as many artificial aromas give me a headache. Fortunately, Divi’s products get their spa-like scent from natural essential oils, like Peppermint and Eucalyptus. In fact, I love the aroma so much, I often find myself inhaling from my cupped hands after using the shampoo.

After thoroughly enjoying this new routine, I decided to see if peppermint oil has health benefits — turns out it does. Aromatherapy with peppermint works as an expectorant that can help unclog sinuses and reduce congestion — a key benefit as the cold and flu season is upon us. People consider it one of the best essential oils for aiding recovery from a variety of respiratory issues. These include colds, cough, asthma, and bronchitis. The compounds found in peppermint oil have antimicrobial, antioxidant, and antiviral qualities. This addition to my morning routine leaves me feeling better prepared to take on whatever the day throws my way.

The Shampoo and Conditioner

I have come to love this shampoo and conditioner. (See The Goldilocks Effect for a detailed list of ingredients.) At 53, I not only want what works well for me but also what is good for my hair journey. I am interested in clean, effective ingredients that are rooted in science.

Divi’s Shampoo and Conditioner are formulated with ingredients that meet my standards and provide additional benefits such as:

  • Helping remove product buildup
  • Nourishing the hair and scalp
  • Moisturizing the hair
  • Strengthening individual hair strands
  • Detangling and improving manageability

The two main goals of shampoo are to clean and remove any product buildup; and, traditionally, the main focus of conditioner is to detangle. The team of scientists at Divi have built in so much more to support the healthy hair journey. I have officially ditched my name-brand shampoo of ten years — I had no idea that my hair could feel this good and that my scalp could feel this fresh and clean.

As the holidays approach

According to Psychology Today, the holidays are often considered the most stressful time of the year, yet the season also contains some of the biggest moments of joy. We are all on unique journeys that include a variety of stressors — ranging from money and busier schedules to anxiety and loneliness. The key is to manage stress levels so that you can recognize and enjoy those moments of joy and contentment. So, take a deep breath (of Peppermint Oil), hold for four counts, and move through a few minutes of restorative box breathing.
