How I Increased My Energy and Endurance

By boosting my Urolithin A levels, I have noticed how my energy, and especially my strength endurance, has increased.

I do my best to stay on top of all the ways that I can be the best at the age I am, now 64, and continue to strive to improve further. Timeline Nutrition’s Mitopure is one of the most exciting products we have seen and, unlike some products, I can actually feel the difference.

The main thing I have noticed is how my energy, and especially my strength endurance, has increased. The rate at which my muscles are ready for action after being heavily used has significantly increased and the rest period between ski runs or exercises at the gym is improved. This would correlate to the scientific studies showing that the Urolithin A found in Mitopure improves mitochondrial and muscle function, providing more energy to cells. These studies show muscle endurance is significantly improved with Urolithin A supplementation.

What exactly is Urolithin A? Urolithin A works by helping to clean up the function of our mitochondria, the power centers of our cells, so they can function better and longer. Every cell in our body contains mitochondria; not just in our muscles, but also in our immune cells, brain cells, and the rest of the body. Better functioning mitochondria means better functioning cells, organs, and body. When mitochondria function less optimally, metabolism runs less efficiently and can even shut down. This can lead to low energy, fatigue, memory loss, pain, rapid aging, and more.

Urolithin A is made by our gut bacteria with food containing ellagitannins, specifically pomegranates, raspberries, and strawberries. The problem is that only a small fraction of the population has the correct gut bacteria to produce Urolithin A. With age, there is a distinct decline in that ability. So not only would one need the correct gut environment for the post-biotic conversion to happen, but one would also need to drink a whole lot of pomegranate juice. Studies show that taking 500mg of Urolithin A is about 6 times better than drinking 8 ounces of pomegranate juice (that’s assuming you can naturally convert Urolithin A in the first place).

There have been over 100 published scientific studies showing the benefits of Urolithin A. Check out this recent study. It was focused on the effect of Urolithin A on joint health, osteoarthritis, and cartilage degeneration. Loss of mobility as one ages can have profoundly negative effects on one’s quality of life and sense of self and is something that I pay particular attention to.

“Treatment with UA reduced inflammation and lessened pain. After 4 weeks of treatment, a decrease in pain response was seen in both groups of UA treated mice compared to those who did not recieve UA, and this improvement was even greater at 8 weeks. Inflammation is a key player on the progression of osteo arthritis and the pain associated with this disease, and in mouse models, UA was able to reduce inflammation.” As of now, Urolithin A is the only molecule that has been successfully tested in preclinical trials that improves mitochondrial function, decreases osteoporosis arthritis pain, and reduces the inflammation associated with it.

This again tracks what I have been experiencing. After 31 continuous days of skiing and ski race training, my knees and hips feel fine, which I find rather surprising as my knees have always been a cause for concern.

Timeline Nutrition’s Mitopure is a simple way to upgrade your mitochondria. I take it to boost my Urolithin A levels, slow down aging, and increase my muscle output. Mitopure is worth investigating; you may be surprised by how much it increases your daily energy levels. This is a breakthrough product as, until recently, research-grade Urolithin A was only available to scientists in very limited quantities and at untouchable prices.
