Healthy Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

This nutrient-rich smoothie tastes like the holidays, with its delicious combination of pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Nothing gets us in the holiday spirit quite like the warming combination of pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. This holiday, we have been swapping out our normal breakfast with this pumpkin pie-inspired smoothie that is not only delicious but healthy and energizing.

The star of this smoothie is pumpkin, which is incredibly healthy. It contains immune-boosting vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants. The addition of chia seeds or flax seeds also ups the fiber content, and will keep your digestion working well — even during the holiday season when we may be indulging more than normal. If you want to keep this smoothie lower in sugar, you can swap out the date with stevia to taste.

– 1 date, pitted
– ½-1 banana
– 1 tablespoon cacao powder
