passion is contagious
Passion leads to a sense of purpose. Without a sense of purpose, we humans become untethered rather quickly. It’s why undirected retirement doesn’t work out so well for many people. What does one do if one feels lacking in passion?
Passion is contagious. It is the antidote for self-critical paralysis. It is the electricity we need to jump into self-believing and into action. Are you feeling in need of some? Find someone who is passionate about anything, someone who is pumped. You may not care a hoot about what they are interested in, but the passion they carry, that energy, some of it will be transferred to you.
To be passionate is to be unreasonable. Reason is often our minds telling us we must not go there because we may be embarrassed by failure. Passion doesn’t care about failure, it propels us in the face of doubt. Nothing, ever, at anytime, of real value was ever accomplished by purely reasonable people. Elon is not reasonable. Jimmy Carter is not reasonable. Eleanor Roosevelt was not reasonable. Go find someone who is passionate, hang out with them, and notice how their drive affects you. Passion is increased when shared. When you have yours, share it. It will expand.
