We recently noticed an anomaly in airfare pricing. Right now, travel is looking rather spendy. But we did a bit of an investigation and found some destinations where prices drop precipitously come the 3rd week of August. Take LAX to Honolulu, for example. If you left this weekend and stayed for 5 nights, it would be $519 round trip. But if you left August 23rd and stayed for 5 nights, your roundtrip cost would be $266. Save the $250 difference and maybe put it towards a posh hotel… see below.
