Plum Guide

We’ve begun using The Plum Guide, a booking platform that takes the hit-or-miss out of staying in a holiday home. They objectively and honestly review every home listed online to rent in each city, and select only the top 1% to feature in the ultimate collection of the world’s best homes. Their Home Critics spend two hours testing shortlisted homes and only pass the top performers.  From our experience, it’s become far too easy to fake user reviews — Plum avoids nasty surprises by reviewing every home themselves.

We’re big fans of their newsletter and this beauty overlooking the Jardin du Luxembourg in Saint-Germain. We like Paris any time of year. Apparently, April is decent enough that people compose songs about it. Summer brings with it the “beach” life along the Seine and late nights sipping Bordeaux in Montmartre (say that five times fast).  But it’s the autumn time that we’ve really begun coming around to, especially considering the stacked lineup featured over three months by the annual Festival d’Automne à Paris. Since 1972, organizers have put together performances that span the contemporary art world from dance to cinema, theater and music. Drawing from an international pool of talent, this year’s cutting edge cultural lineup covers theater, dance and music.  Come for the apartment and stay for the festival. Or the other way around.
