Does Drinking Coffee Reduce Mortality Rate?

Coffee lovers rejoice! You may have heard that drinking coffee can actually positively impact our health. But does it make a difference how the coffee is prepared or what type of coffee it is? A recent study out of the UK aimed to understand how different types of coffee impact “arrhythmia, cardiovascular disease (CVD), and mortality.” The study found that “Decaffeinated, ground, and instant coffee, particularly at 2–3 cups/day, were associated with significant reductions in incident CVD and mortality. Ground and instant but not decaffeinated coffee was associated with reduced arrhythmia.”
