A new study posted by Cell Metabolism found that “Time-restricted eating (TRE) and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) improve cardiometabolic health in at-risk individuals” and when combining both TRE and HIIT, the participants’ HbA1c improved and they experienced “reductions in total and visceral fat mass compared with TRE and HIIT alone.” The study concluded that a combination of TRE and HIIT “may be realistic diet-exercise strategies for improving markers of metabolic health in women at risk of cardiometabolic disease.”
