you are what you eat
We have been talking a lot about personal responsibility recently- this includes what you put in body. Getting your food right requires attention, effort and perseverance. You must acquire this knowledge, and then you must diligently apply it. What may dubiously have worked for us 40 years ago will not work in our bodies today. We need learn to feed ourselves like responsible adults.
This is hard work- a lifelong challenge. Remember that every action you take has a reaction and a consequence, good and bad. This is especially true with what we eat. I have a lot to accomplish, and with only about 40 years of predicted life ramp in front of me, I need to maximize my ability to get done what I want to do. For me, it’s building a company that no one had ever done before, that at it’s core involves changing the culture around us- a very heavy lift, and I damn well better be strong and energetic or I will fail. Maybe for you it is your grandkids, or your church or maybe some mission you see as essential.
We say physical first. Food is not for fun. Food is fuel, it is medicine. You will become what you eat. You put junk and poison in, you get a stressed and ultimately diseased body. Eat the right food, and your life expectancy and life capacity expands dramatically. The more I study this stuff the more hard core I get about it. If you don’t know what to do or where to start, remember the first 3 devils: white sugar/corn syrup, white flour, regular cow milk.
Hard is not impossible. Own your body. It’s the only one you will ever have.
