Ever wonder where your cool friend got that vintage south of France travel poster? How about that print of the obscure Brazilian movie? The digital democratization of the collecting game has, in recent years, spread into the realm of old advertising, art, movie, photography, and music posters. Its marketplace? Limited Runs, started by exec music industry veteran (and AGEIST profile subject) Pierre Vudrag.
Later this month, Vudrag is hosting a four-day event at an airplane hangar designed to appeal to the newbie and the hard-core collector. On display are eight decades of vintage art, photography and posters. Highlights include a rare Casablanca poster in French and the previously unreleased photography of 1950s and 60s era fashion photographer Len Steckler.
