Wearable to Track Stress Levels

The University of Birmingham has developed a wearable device that can monitor stress hormone levels throughout a full 24-hour day. The device, called the “stress sweat sensor,” is worn on the wrist and uses sweat to measure cortisol levels, which are an indicator of stress. It provides real-time data and can help individuals identify patterns of stress throughout the day. The sensor is non-invasive and offers a more convenient and continuous monitoring option compared to traditional methods. Researchers hope that this technology will assist in early detection and management of stress-related conditions.
