Our canine friends don’t live as long as we do, but many of the current experimental interventions for people are being used safely on dogs now. If anyone has lost a dog, you know how heart-wrenching that can feel. Dr. Kevin Toman has made it his mission to extend the healthspan of our pets. He does this through a variety of therapies and treatments. One treatment is the use of Rapamycin. Rapamycin is a prescription medication that has been shown to be able to extend lifespan, reduce cancer incidence, improve cognitive function, and more. [1] Other therapies that Dr. Toman is using to extend our dog’s healthspan include curcumin, NAD, NMN, NR, and Senolytics. [2]
